Benish Ashruff

Associate Assistant Vice Principal

Benish graduated with a degree in Chemistry from the University of Bradford in 2013 and completed her PGCE at the University of Leeds in 2014. With a strong foundation in both industry and education, she is a dedicated leader committed to academic excellence and the development of young minds. Since beginning her teaching career in 2014, she has been devoted to inspiring students and fostering a culture of curiosity and achievement.

She joined Dixons McMillan in 2017 as a Science teacher and, through her expertise and leadership, was appointed Head of the Science in September 2023. In addition to her role, she has taken a leading position in mentoring trainee teachers, demonstrating her commitment to developing future educators. Benish was appointed as Associate Assistant Vice Principal from January 2025.

Before transitioning into teaching, Benish worked as an analytical chemist at Unilever Seacroft. Her passion for education ultimately led her to teaching, where she has excelled in her role. Regardless of students' abilities or needs, she strives to provide the best possible learning experience for all.
